Dr. Stephanie Shaw

Mrs. Shaw is a dedicated educator with over twenty-five years of experience teaching across diverse settings and grade levels.  For the past decade at Sheridan Hills Christian School, she has served as a classical Christian educator, teaching within the classical tradition. Dr. Shaw is deeply committed to cultivating wisdom and virtue in her students through a biblical worldview, guiding them to see how all truth and knowledge are rooted in Christ.

Mrs. Lavalle

Mrs. Lavalle is a compassionate educator with a commitment to student success. Transitioning from her role as one of our school's Interventionist to currently teaching second grade, she brings a wealth of experience to the classroom. With a keen eye for assessing students' academic levels, Mrs. Lavalle crafts personalized learning plans to propel each child towards achievement. Specializing in both reading and math, she dedicates herself to strengthening foundational skills, ensuring her students are well-prepared for the challenges of the upcoming school year. With Mrs. Lavalle at the helm, every student is empowered to thrive and excel.

Mrs. Bouie is a beloved and experienced educator who has faithfully served as a Lower School teacher at Sheridan Hills Christian School for the past eight years. Known for her warm spirit, creativity, and dedication to student success, she brings energy and excellence to everything she does. With a passion for helping children grow academically and confidently, Mrs. Bouie creates engaging learning experiences that inspire young minds. We are thrilled to have her leading one of our Sharks Scholars sessions, where students will enjoy an exciting summer of learning while strengthening foundational concepts in reading, writing, math, and other core subjects to prepare them for continued success.  

The Bridge

 

Week 1: June 15-18   |   Week 2: June 22-25  |   Week 3: July 13-16  |   Week 4: July 20-23

Grade Level Groups:  (K5 - 2nd Grade)    |     (3rd - 6th Grade)

The Bridge is a program specially tailored for newly accepted students or students who have enrolled within the past year and are still acclimating to our curriculum. Areas of our demanding curriculum that have historically challenged new students will be emphasized.  Subjects such as Shurley English and our Advanced Mathematics.  

Summer School

 

Week 1: June 15-18   |   Week 2: June 22-25  |   Week 3: July 13-16  |   Week 4: July 20-23

Grade Level Groups:  (K5 - 2nd Grade)    |     (3rd - 6th Grade)

Summer School is designed for current students who are struggling in math, reading, or both areas. This program is created to help close learning gaps and provide remediation for specific skills.  This program may be required for some students to meet promotion criteria.

Options: Math, Reading or Both Subjects

Boot Camp

 

Week 1: June 15-18   |   Week 2: June 22-25  |   Week 3: July 13-16  |   Week 4: July 20-23

Grade Level Groups:  (K5 - 2nd Grade)    |     (3rd - 6th Grade)

Boot Camp is focused on enrichment and gaining a deeper understanding of subjects during the summer. This program will assist students in building upon previously learned skills, introducing new content for the upcoming grade level, and accelerating to their next level of learning. Parents can also request that their students work on summer packets during this session (students must bring their packets with them).
